ICCES approval means a FRAMECAD house can be built easily anywhere

“Building standards in different regions of the US and other countries vary tremendously, but ICCES codes are seen as a sort of ‘universal buildings code’ which make project planning and development easier across borders and whole continents,” says FRAMECAD Regional Director – Middle East and Africa, Nader R Elhajj.

The ICCES is a worldwide organization that establishes codes for building safety and sustainability in residential and commercial buildings, community infrastructure and public facilities.

The International Codes, or I-Codes, are a complete set of comprehensive, coordinated building codes that are widely accepted in the US and in many other countries including, the Middle East and South America.

“Having ICCES accreditation gives planners, specifiers, developers and builders a high degree of confidence and certainty when dealing with building authorities, even in regions or countries where building regulations are under-developed,” says Nader.

“It streamlines the process because it makes code compliance relatively simple. All the relevant documentation and verification confirmations are online.”

Fifty states in the US have adopted the I-Codes at the state or jurisdictional level. The Department of Defence references the ICCES for constructing military facilities, including those that house US troops, domestically and abroad.

What is the International Code Council Evaluation Services?

ICCES carries out technical evaluations of building products, components, methods, and materials and ensures their conformance to the appropriate I codes.

The evaluation process culminates with the issuance of reports on code compliance, which are made available to code officials, contractors, specifiers, architects, engineers, and anyone else with an interest in the building industry.

ICCES evaluation reports provide evidence that products and systems meet code requirements.
