FRAMECAD Detailer
FRAMECAD Detailer is a totally versatile detailing package with world-leading detailing flexibility; so you can adhere to local building codes, standards and practices.
Simply enter or import the dimensions and the type of frame you need, including opening sizes. FRAMECAD Detailer will then convert the information into detailed framing plans that are transferred directly to FRAMECAD steel frame machines. FRAMECAD Detailer specifies and allocates tooling functions for each component before transfer to FRAMECAD Factory, the manufacturing plant control system.
With FRAMECAD Detailer, detailing, quoting and manufacturing processes are seamlessly integrated.

FRAMECAD Detailer is a powerful, user-friendly frame layout software package. It creates frames that are produced by FRAMECAD manufacturing equipment.
With a script-driven backend and a simple user interface, FRAMECAD Detailer is an incredibly flexible and easy-to-use package.
FRAMECAD Detailer features
CAD interface
The FRAMECAD Detailer user interface is based on standard CAD packages. It allows coordinate entry; line and text placement; and basic drawing tools, such as trim, extend, and offset. More specialized tools also exist for placing frames and framing sections, and they’ll be automatically labeled for easy identification. Explicit tool actions, such as web notches, lip notches, service holes and dimples can be placed on built frames.
3D View
FRAMECAD Detailer enables viewing the framing in three dimensions. This provides a virtual walk-through, which can help customers visualize the design. It also enables a draughtsman to easily check designs for errors, saving on-site correction time.
Fast and automated
To help users get started and to automate the detailing process, FRAMECAD Detailer has a range of powerful tools that help drive up production.
AutoDimension
To automatically create dimensions, you simply select items to be dimensioned and draw a reference line through them using the intersections of the line to determine the placement of the dimensions. The tool features are customizable by using baseline dimensions and intersection rules.
AutoPolygon
By letting you define the types of entities to be used, the AutoPolygon tool can recognise an entity with a click on each side and then simply trace a polygon from other entities.
AutoRoof
Automate your roof design and detailing by selecting the outside coordinates of a building and letting FRAMECAD Detailer create your roof skeleton lines, which are then inserted into the drawing.
AutoWall
Click on an un-built wall object and use elevation view to draw polygons or rectangles that represent the openings and envelope of the wall. AutoWall will automatically frame the wall by finding the openings and triples automatically, as specified by the ‘max triple intersection distance’ in the options menu.

Information Modeling
Manage building data during its life cycle with FRAMECAD Detailer through an XML interface providing a standard information exchange format. Integrate with products in the FRAMECAD Software family or other packages you use in your design environment for true end-to-end three dimensional, real-time, dynamic building modeling to increase productivity in building design and construction.
FRAMECAD Detailer allows you to automatically transfer design information from architectural detail into framing layout then on to production.
