The recent Factory 2 release introduced the new option to use the RFY file format. The RFY file format feature allows users to save time, enhance tooling accuracy and improve intersection fit during the manufacturing process. This feature can be turn on and off according to your manufacturing needs.
The RFY file format offers multiple advantages including:
- be able to span tool operations across sticks- produce really short web notches/flange cuts on the ends of sticks, by producing scrap pieces
- simpler to program manual part directly at the machine level
- allow customisation of scrap pieces on a per tool basis
